If there is one thing that makes Jávea stand out, it is the peace and tranquillity it instils in its visitors. Whether it is for its comfortable homes and flats or for its spectacular beaches, many people are attracted to this town in the Valencian Community.
There are some places in Jávea that you must visit if you want to enjoy the best views in the area. Our decades of experience here allow us to recommend the best places to contemplate the natural beauty of one of the nerve centres of the Costa Blanca.
Cap de Sant Antoni viewpoint
Logically, this is one of the essential places you must visit. Here you will find the marine reserve which contains a great variety of living creatures, both plants and animals. From the viewpoint you can enjoy breathtaking views, with the sinuous line of the Mediterranean coastline.
If you look out to sea, you can make out the posidonia oceanica, an underwater plant that is the true lung of the area and is home to a host of animal species. You can also take the opportunity to go down to the sea for a snorkelling session.
We recommend taking the day easy and going to the surrounding areas because there is a lot to see. It’s not your typical viewpoint to take a photo and leave, but rather to let yourself be embraced by the surroundings and immerse yourself in a simply breathtaking scenery.
Montgó
The Montgó Natural Park is one of the treasures of this area and from the top of its mountain (at 753 metres) you will have a unique perspective. Numerous species of flora and fauna can be found in this privileged environment, where you can breathe fresh air and reconnect with nature.
Although there are urbanisations to guarantee an excellent quality of life, it has not been built on a massive scale and continues to maintain its traditional tranquillity. You can stroll around the area safe in the knowledge that the Mediterranean climate will be on your side practically 365 days of the year, so any time is a good time to come.
Furthermore, hiking is practised here on perfectly signposted routes, so you can plan an excursion to inspect the area, with access to some beaches in and around Jávea such as Les Arenetes, Marineta Cassiana or Punta Negra.
Granadella viewpoint
Although they bear the same name, the Mirador de la Granadella, the cove and the castle are not in the same place. This is another outstanding place to enjoy panoramic views in Jávea.
The bay stands out for its turquoise waters and a natural environment that has been able to stand the test of time without deterioration or overexploitation. From this viewpoint you can admire the beauty of the Mediterranean in all its splendour.
To the north is the Ambolo viewpoint, which also offers a unique perspective of our coastline. In fact, there is the so-called “route of the viewpoints” with up to 15 points to visit. From here we strongly recommend it, but always bearing in mind that there may be complicated terrain for children or the elderly and that the walk will be more pleasant if you have suitable footwear.
Cabo de la Nao
From here you can enjoy excellent views of the entire coastline. People who live in Balcón al Mar, a place with spectacular luxury villas, know that they have a great panoramic view of Jávea at their fingertips.
In this neighbourhood you can spend the day perfectly, as apart from the natural beauty, there are first class restaurants where you can enjoy top quality food with traditional and modern recipes. It is a perfect area for those who are looking for some peace and quiet.
